Minors and Regularisation of Long Term Undocumented Migrants
Is there any guidance on how a minor might access the Regularisation scheme in a case where they do not have a parent or legal guardian in the State? I have had a query from a colleague where a minor is living with an undocumented sibling (24yrs old) and an aunt but neither of those relatives is a legal guardian of the minor.
Is it possible for the 24 year old sibling to apply under the "Family application with at least one dependent minor child" category and include the minor in that application?

Thank you Peter. Your advice is in line with my interpretation of the scheme, though I foresee an issue where the ‘dependent minor
child’ is not a child of the applicant (despite the fact that this is not spelled out in the guidelines).
