Email notifications to the DETE
Hi all
I have a quick query I was hoping to get some guidance on, if possible?
I understand that, prior to the launch of the new employment permits system, certain changes to an employment permit holder’s employment conditions (e.g. an increase in salary, a promotion within their organisation) etc. were required to be notified to the DETE by email at employmentpermits@enterprise.gov.ie and/or EPMS DETE epms@enterprise.gov.ie.
Does this continue to be the case post-launch of the new employment permits system? Specifically, can individuals who were granted an employment permit under the old system continue to make these notifications to the DETE by email, or are they required now to set up an account under the new system and communicate these changes to the DETE themselves via their own personal portal account?
I have asked the DETE to clarify this for me but have heard nothing back despite following up with them a few times.
Any light anyone could shed on this would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Rose

Hi Rose. It will need to be done via the EPO portal now. Current concern is that only employer or employee appear to be able to action this - but not an agent. It might be the case that an agent can do it if they submitted the permit application via EPO, but we have not yet received any approvals in respect of EPO permit filings, so we cannot verify as of yet.
I hope this helps.
