The Woody Allen effect
I have seen a large increase recently in the number of U.S citizens who are being taken to task by Immigration officers at our airports because they are considered to be "tagging" short term visa exempted permissions in the State.
The average Woody Allen protagonist seems to have no difficulty at all in moving to Europe and continuing with their life here. Should there be an immigration warning on these productions so that a travelers legitimate expectations are not unreasonably high.

An existing US PI client told me that they would be moving over to Ireland once their case settled. I asked how and was told that she would go to a Garda station and tell them she was a US citizen and that they would stamp her passport. Simple as.
She asked me in a puzzled voice whether i knew anything about immigration law or not.... Clearly not.
