Change of Name licence
Does anyone have any experience with these? Wondering how long it takes, how much information/documentation is required, etc.

Further to this, I've had ISD refuse to reflect a change of name on an IRP card unless the person's passport showed that new name. (For various reasons, it won't be possible to get that changed in their home country.) I am presuming that this policy is in place to prevent fraud, but it seems to me that the policy goes contrary to the intent and purpose of the license itself. The 1935 Act doesn't put any obligations on anyone to respect the new name, but it does seem odd that the Department won't have regard to their own license!
