EUTR Entry visa applications for family members of UK nationals
Congratulations to the Committee on the establishment of IILA!
Has anyone had any issues in submitting EUTR entry visas for the qualifying family members of UK nationals (where the UK national exercised their rights prior to 31.12.20)? I understand these family members to be covered by the Withdrawal Agreement, however there is some conflicting information published in the INIS webpage, see FAQ document- question 3:
Q.3 Can I still apply for a visa as the family member of EU/EEA/Swiss citizen (an EU Treaty Right visa) on the basis of being the family member of a UK National? A. You can make an application for a visa as family member of an 13 EU/EEA/Swiss citizen until the transition period formally ends at 11pm (GMT) on the 31 December 2020. Your application must be submitted on or before that time and date. Any application made after that date will not be processed, as your UK Family Member will no longer be entitled to avail of EU Free Movement Rights at the end of the transition period.

Hi Eimear,
There does seem to be some difficulty in this area. I had submitted some of these visa applications prior to 31/12/2020. The visa applications went through online however, submitting documents in the VFS offices subsequently was quite problematic. I have sent emails to VFS for assistance and get a standard reply from them that they will be in touch shortly but there has been no response from them to date despite numerous emails to them and the same standard reply from them. I have also tried to contact the visa office in Dublin in this regard but they have simply redirected me to VFS.
Regards,
Shehzad
