Working Holiday Visa
Hi all, would any of you know what, if any, legislation, underpins working holiday visas? Does anyone know why there is a stipulation that someone holding a WHV cannot apply for a work permit while in the State on that specific visa? Has anyone had any luck getting around this requirement? Any info greatly appreciated, thanks!

It is completely unlawful. There is no section 12 ground for refusal as holding a WHA. Another example of DOJ dictating DETE policy.
