I'm wondering has anyone ever made an application / sought immigration permission for an individual who is within the State (undocumented) and whose partner is a Stamp 4 holder.

My client was visiting his partner and step-daughter just before the start of the pandemic and never left. He has made an application to the Repatriation Unit seeking permission to remain (despite not being issued with notification of intention to deport).

I see no alternative but wondering if anyone could provide a steer.
